STANLEY OZGOWICZ APPEARED REQUESTING THE BOARD TO CONSIDER, AS A JOINT <br />PROJECT, STREET PAVING OF 11TH PLACE (BARGE COURT) AND 11TH .STREET (WILLOW <br />STREET) ROSEDALE GARDENS SUBDIVISION AND THE BOARD INSTRUCTED HIM TO PREPARE <br />ACTUAL PAVING COSTS. <br />THE FOLLOWING FIGURES ARE FOR MATERIALS ONLY. <br />24 FOOT ASPHALT PAVING - APPROXIMATELY $5,050.00 <br />22 FOOT ASPHALT PAVING - APPROXIMATELY $4,600,00 <br />AFTERDISCUSSION A MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECOND` <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THAT THE COUNTY PAY 1/2..THE COST OF CON- <br />STRUCTING 24 FOOT WIDE ROADS, AS REQUESTED BY STANLEY OZGOWICZ BECAUSE THESE <br />ROADS HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF TRAFFIC AND ARE Iii A COMMERICAL AREA; WE WILL PAY <br />172 OF THE CONTRACTED MATERIAL COST; AND THAT WE ARE CONSIDERING TRYING TO <br />SET UP A PROGRAM AS POLICY, BUT FOR NOW WE WILL WAIT AND SEE IF WE GET ANY <br />ADDITIONAL REQUESTS. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE $I00,000.00 IN THE BUDGET, WHICH IS FOR <br />MAINTENANCE OF ROADS. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY STATED IT WAS HIS UNDERSTANDING THAT IN THIS <br />INSTANCE THE COUNTY WOULD DO THE WORK WITH COUNTY FORCES AND THE PROPERTY <br />OWNERS ALONG THESE TWO ROADS WOULD PAY THE COST OF MATERIALS. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE ASKED WHAT COSTS WOULD THE COUNTY INCUR BY <br />DOING THIS WORK WITH COUNTY FORCES. <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR STATED THAT AN ADDITIONAL $3,000.00 WOULD <br />HAVE TO BE ADDED TO THE COST OF MATERIALS. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER AND COMMISSIONER MASSEY WITHDREW THEIR MOTION <br />AND THEIR SECOND. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT SUGGESTED THAT THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR PRESENT <br />THESE FIGURES BACK TO MR. OZGOWICZ FOR HIS APPROVAL. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 76-2 AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN <br />TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN URBAN DEVELOPMENT UTILITIES, INC. AND INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY. <br />29 <br />
