JAMES BEINDORF APPEARED IN REGARD TO A PROPOSED MARINA AT THE <br />MOORINGS, BLUNDERBUSS BIGHT, AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WHAT HE WAS RE- <br />QUESTING WAS A LETTER OF "NO OBJECTION" FROM THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUB- <br />JECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND ALL OTHER CONCERNED <br />AGENCIES. MR. BEINDORF PRESENTED PLANS OF THE PROPOSED MARINA AND STATED <br />THAT THEY HAD ALREADY OBTAINED SITE PLAN APPROVAL FROM THE ZONING BOARD. <br />THE PROPOSED MARINA WILL HAVE 37 BOAT SLIPS AND THEY PLAN TO HAVE A SEWAGE <br />PUMP -OUT FACILITY. THE SEA WALL WAS PUT IN FIVE YEARS AGO. <br />COUNTY COORDINATOR, L.S. "TOMMY" THOMAS ASKED IF IT WAS ANTICIPATED <br />THAT MOST OF THE SPACES WILL BE USED BY PEOPLE RESIDING IN THE MOORINGS OR <br />IF IT IS TO BE DIRECTED TOWARDS TRANSIENTS, <br />MR, BEINDORF ANSWERED THAT TRANSIENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO COME IN, <br />BUT THE INTENT IS THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE SPACES WILL BE USED BY PEOPLE <br />RESIDING IN THE MOORINGS, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO WRITE A LETTER OF <br />NO OBJECTION" TO THE PROPOSED MARINA SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF ALL OTHER <br />GOVERNMENTAL REGULATORY AGENCIES. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT NEXT BROUGHT UP THE MATTER OF THE PLANNING DEPART- <br />MENT BECOMING PURELY A COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND STATED THAT HE FELT <br />IT SHOULD BE SET UP WITHIN THE COUNTY STRUCTURE AND THAT IT WOULD BE APPRO- <br />PRIATE TO FIT INTO THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE REPORTING TO THE COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />VAL BRENNAN, PLANNING DIRECTOR, STATED THAT HE AND ADMINISTRATOR <br />JENNINGS WILL GET TOGETHER ON THIS TO WORK OUT THE SPECIFICS AND TECHNICAL <br />DETAILS. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THE PREVIOUS RESOLUTION CREATING A COUNTY <br />PLANNING DEPARTMENT SHOULD BE AMENDED, AND ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO <br />INSTRUCT THE ATTORNEY TO DRAW UP THE PROPER DOCUMENT TO EFFECT THE TRANSFER <br />OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS REVIEWED A LEASE THAT HAS BEEN DRAFTED FOR SPACE <br />FOR THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT IN THE POCAHONTAS BUILDING NEXT TO THE COURT- <br />HOUSE. <br />340 <br />JAN 211976 Boat 24 A64 <br />
