P R O C L A M A T I'O N <br />WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America have for the <br />past sixty-six (66) years offered to the youth of this <br />Nation a program designed to mold character, train in <br />citizenship and develop mental and physical fitness; and <br />WHEREAS, local community organizations are now <br />using the Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer Programs for <br />the Benefit of the youth of this County; and <br />WHEREAS, many adults make a significant contribution <br />to our youth as dedicated volunteer leaders of Cub Packs, <br />Scout Troops and Explorer Posts of the Indian River District, <br />Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America;. and <br />WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is deeply involved <br />in observing the Nation's Bi -Centennial through service <br />projects, activities and special events; and <br />WHEREAS, it is foremost in the minds of government <br />that these programs, projects, activities and events be <br />P <br />emphasized and supported in this time of exceptional <br />challenge: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the week of <br />February 1 - 7, 1976 be declared <br />SCOUT WEER FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />Done in regular session of the Board of County <br />Commissioners, Indian River County, Florida on the 21st <br />day of January, 1976. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDI N IV R UN ,FL IDA <br />By /'/ `�01 . <br />W llard .
