RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 072 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER ED UPON IDA, <br /> ESTABLISHING THE TAX MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVI <br /> ALL <br /> REAL AND PERSONAL TAXABLE PROPERTY IINDIAN <br /> FOR RIVER <br /> COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR FISCAL YEAR <br /> HE <br /> GENERAL FUND. <br /> WHEREAS, the Budget Officer of Indian River Countyr d County,and presented <br /> for he <br /> to the <br /> County Commission a tentative budget for the General Fund of Indian Re <br /> fiscal year commencing on the first day of October, <br /> 2002, and ending on the 30th day of September, <br /> 2003, addressing each of the funds therein fforward,by law, lncludand a'll e t mated expenditung all estimated pes, <br /> taxes to be levied, and balances expected to be brought <br /> reserves, and balances to be carried over at the end of the year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissionersbudget as presented; and my held numerous <br /> public workshops to consider and amend the tentative 9 <br /> ll <br /> f the <br /> WHEREAS, the Board did prepare <br /> al of allstatement <br /> budgets, proposedlng taxamil�ages, thetbalanbes antd <br /> showing for each budget and for the to <br /> reserves, and the total of each major classification of the receipts and expenditures classified <br /> according to accounts prescribed by the appropriate state agencies; and a rolled back rate by <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed millage rate for the General Fund exceeds th <br /> 3.40%; and <br /> loners of Indian River County did hold a public <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commiss <br /> hearing to review and adopt a tentative budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the final budget hearing has been properly advertised and held in accordance <br /> with applicable Florida law, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OFrCOUNTY COMMISSIONERSp <br /> OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board does he levy <br /> personal taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for fiscal year 2002-2003 a tax of 3.8729 <br /> mills on the dollar for the purpose of funding the General Fund of Indian River County; <br /> be <br /> in the <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that tPubli i Records;age as adopted <br /> and thenein County)Budget officerOsh'ce <br /> all <br /> of the County Budget Officer and in the raiser for Indian River County, <br /> transmit forthwith a certified copy of this resolution to the Property App <br /> to the Tax Collector for Indian River County, and to the Department of Revenue of the State of <br /> Florida. <br /> and the motion <br /> The resolution was moved for adoption by and, upon'be ng put to a vote, the vote was as <br /> was seconded by Commissioner <br /> Mach�_� <br /> follows: <br /> Chairman Ruth M.
