HE CONTINUED HE <br />HAD WRITTEN TO AND RECEIVED <br />LETTERS FROM MR, ROY MAYO, DIRECTOR OF BUILDING, <br />TALLAHASSEEI MR. BUTZ OF <br />ORLANDO; AND MR. GEORGE BROWN OF FORT MYERS, ALL <br />INDICATING THEY CONSIDERED <br />THE SOUTHERN STANDARD HOUSING CODE A VALUABLE ASSET TO THEIR CITIES AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE TOOL IN ENFORCING STANDARDS AND ELIMINATING BLIGHTED AREAS, <br />MR.. ADAMS STATED THAT HE WOULD NOT BE ASKING THE BOARD TO ADOPT <br />_ THIS CODE IF HE DIDN°T FEEL IT WAS REALLY NEEDED. <br />HE FELT THAT THIS IS A <br />TOOL THAT DEFINITELY CAN BE A PUBLIC SERVICE AND <br />CAN BE ENFORCED, AND ALSO <br />NOTED THAT IF YOU DONT DO IT, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL DO IT FOR YOU, <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED IN REGARD TO TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, SPECIFIC <br />FOOTAGE REGULATIONS, ETC., <br />' <br />iu <br />BAR 1 019761 5 124 <br />
