CHAIRMAN SIEBERT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE YOUTH GUIDANCE <br />VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IS IN NEED OF A PROJECT DIRECTOR, AND COMMISSIONER Loy s <br />HAS AGREED TO SERVE IN THIS CAPACITY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPOINTED COMMISSIONER LOY AS PROJECT DIRECTOR OF THE <br />YOUTH GUIDANCE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS REPORTED THAT HE HAD WRITTEN JOHN WILSON, <br />DISTRICT TRAFFIC OPERATIONS ENGINEER, FOR THE.D.O,T, ASKING FOR HIS COMMENTS <br />IN REGARD TO THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AROUND THE PROPOSED MIDDLE .JUNIOR HIGH <br />SCHOOL SITE AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROAD 512 AND STATE ROAD 520. <br />HE HAS ALSO TALKED WITH MARVIN CARTER, ENGINEER, AND THE SOIL CONSERVATION <br />PEOPLE IN REGARD TO DRAINAGE FOR THE AREA. THIS HAS NOT YET BEEN WORKED <br />OUT, BUT IS MAINLY A PROBLEM OF WORKING OUT THE PROPER EASEMENTS, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT STATED AS SOON AS AN ANSWER IS RECEIVED FROM .JOHN <br />WILSON, THE BOARD THEN CAN GIVE ITS COMMENTS TO THE SCHOOL ON THIS SUBJECT. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR NEXT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAD RECEIVED A <br />LETTER FROM AMERICAN TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH LONG LINES WHO ARE PLANNING TO <br />INSTALL AN UNDERSEAS COMMUNICATIONS CABLE FROM VERO BEACH TO ST. THOMAS, <br />VIRGIN ISLANDS. THEY MERELY WISH IT CONFIRMED THAT NO FORMAL ACTION IS RE— <br />QUIRED FROM THE COUNTY IN REGARD TO THIS INSTALLATION, AND THE ADMINISTRATOR <br />STATED THAT HE DID NOT BELIEVE ANY FORMAL ACTION WAS REQUIRED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY INSTRUCTED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVISE A.T. & T LONG <br />LINES THAT NO FORMAL ACTION IS REQUIRED OF THE COUNTY AND THEY HAVE NO OB— <br />JECTIONS TO THIS INSTALLATION AS LONG AS IT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL THE <br />APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES. <br />THE HOUR OF 10:30 O'CLOCK A.M.
