i <br />a <br />i <br />BETTY KOMARISKY STATED THAT SHE FELT THAT SINCE THE EXPENSES <br />REQUIRED TO REPLACE THE SEWER AND WATER PLANTS ARE A CAPITAL EXPENSE <br />THEY SHOULD BE FINANCED BY THE STOCKHOLDERS AND NOT BY THE PEOPLE BEING <br />SERVICED. SHE SAID SHE WOULD GO ALONG WITH A MODERATE INCREASE IN RATES. <br />ROBERT KRIEGER ASKED IF THERE WAS A POSSIBLLITY OF -GETTING <br />FEDERAL FUNDING FOR SUCH IMPROVEMENTS. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT SAID HE DID NOT THINK THIS IS POSSIBLE FOR <br />PRIVATE UTILITIES. <br />CHAIRMAN ASKED IF ANYONE FURTHER WISHED TO SPEAK. THERE WERE <br />Ilam <br />ATTORNEY BOGOSIAN TOOK THE FLOOR TO ANSWER SOME OF THE QUESTIONS <br />PRESENTED, HE AGREED THAT THE WATER LOOKS PRETTY BAD AND SAID THE STATE <br />FEELS THE SAME WAY, AND WE HAVE TO IMPROVE IT. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED IF THERE WILL BE ANY ODOR CONTROL UNDER <br />THE NEW SYSTEM THAT IS NOT PRESENTLY IN OPERATION NOW. <br />.JAMES BEINDORF ANSWERED THAT WITH A MORE EFFICIENT PLANT THAT <br />IS PROPEREY RUN THIS WILL BE ALLEVIATED TO A GREAT DEGREE, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED WHO DOES THE B.O.D. LEVEL MONITORING? <br />MR. BEINDORF STATED THAT THE MOPTHLY OPERATING REPORTS ARE <br />DONE AND SIGNED BY A CERTIFIED OPERATOR OF INDIAN RIVER UTILITIES, LOWELL <br />LOHMAN'S GROUP. - <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED WHAT WAS THE CAPACITY OF THE PRESENT <br />SYSTEM WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED? <br />MR, BEINDORF SAID THAT THE ORIGINAL PLANS WERE FOR A 95,000 <br />GALLON—A—DAY PLANT, AND THEY ARE RIGHT NOW AT 90,000 TO 95,000 GALLONS PER <br />DAY, THE PROPOSED PLANT IS A 100,000 GALLON—A—DAY PLANT.` <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT STATED THAT THERE HAS BEEN CRITICISM THAT THE <br />of <br />ORIGINAL PLANT WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF EASTVIEW GARDENS <br />AS WELL AS IXORA PARK. <br />NATE TANEN INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WHEN THE PLANT WAS ORIGINALLY <br />r <br />DESIGNED THE AREA THAT IS NOW EASTVIEW GARDENS WAS INCORPORATED. IXORA <br />PARK WAS INCORPORATED PIECE MEAL, AND WHEN THEY WENT ACROSS THE STREET, <br />THEY NAMED IT EASTVIEW GARDENS, BUT IT WAS ORIGINALLY PLANNED FOR ALL. x <br />33 <br />
