Ll <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS SAID THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THIS <br />PROBLEM WITH THE SHERIFF AND HAVE HIM DISCUSS IT WITH HIS DEPUTIES AND <br />POSSIBLY POST SOME NOTICES IN TRUCK STOPS AS HE FEELS THE ORIGINAL CONCEPT <br />HAS BEEN LOST SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE THE BOARD TO ALLOW <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR TO DO THIS AS A GREAT DEAL OF CONFUSION HAS ARISEN. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT HE FEELS THERE IS A REAL PROBLEM <br />AS HE DOESN'T FEEL YOU CAN INTERFERE WITH INTERSTATE COMMERCE AND NOT <br />TREAT IT THE SAME AS LOCAL TRUCKS, ESPECIALLY AS THESE ARE STATE ROADS. <br />THE BOARD SUGGESTED THE ADMINISTRATOR CHECK THIS MATTER WITH <br />THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS NEXT BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE <br />BOARD THE REQUEST MADE BY NORMAN GREEN, ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY, FOR RENO— <br />VATION OF THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE IN THE COURTHOUSE AT AN ESTIMATED <br />COST OF $1,218.71. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY AN AUXILIARY OFFICE <br />AND A CONVENIENCE FOR THEM AS THE COUNTY PAYS RENT FOR SPACE IN THE PRO— <br />FESSIONAL BUILDING FOR THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON WHETHER THERE WERE FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR <br />SUCH RENOVATION AND WHETHER IT WAS REALLY NECESSARY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO NOTIFY MR.
