HE NOTED THAT THE ORIGINAL REQUEST FROM THE SEBASTIAN <br />SQUAD FOR 15 POCKET PAGERS HAD NOW BEEN INCREASED TO 20, AND BOTH THE <br />SEBASTIAN SQUAD AND THE CITY OF %RO BEACH EMERGENCY SECTION OF THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT NEED THE ".TAWS OF LIFE". HE CONTINUED THAT THIS MATTER HAS BEEN <br />BEFORE THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND THEY RECOMMEND <br />THAT THE BOARD CONSIDER PURCHASING 20 MOTOROLA ONE-WAY PAGERS AT A COST OF <br />$5,700,00 FROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS AND ALSO CONSIDER PURCHASING <br />THE REQUESTED "JAWS OF LIFE" WITH 50% MATCHING FUNDS COMING FROM THE CITY <br />OF VERO BEACH AND THE SEBASTIAN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AmBULANDE SQUAD,' <br />INC, <br />APR 2 11976 <br />
