RESOLUTION NO 2006- 162 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA APPROVING THE COUNTY'S REVISED LOCAL <br />HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR FY 2006-2007, 2007-2008, AND 2008- <br />2009. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 420, Florida Statutes, describes the State <br />Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP), and states that the <br />principal objective of that program is to increase the amount of <br />affordable housing within the State of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 6, 1993, the Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners approved ordinance number 93-13, establishing <br />the county's first Local Housing Assistance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Local Housing Assistance plan expires on <br />June 30, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Local Housing Assistance Plan adequately <br />addresses the county's affordable housing needs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation recently <br />published new maximum purchase price amounts for Indian River <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County recognizes that, to use the new <br />maximum purchase price amounts in its SHIP program, the county must <br />amend its local housing assistance plan to incorporate those <br />revised maximum purchase price amounts; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 24, 2006, the Board of County <br />Commissioners considered a revised Indian River County Local <br />Housing Assistance Plan for FY 2006-07, FY 2007-08, and FY 2008-09. <br />1 <br />
