RESOLUTION NO. 2001-059 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br /> FLORIDA, that: <br /> 1. The public purpose for such acquisition is that Indian River County <br /> has designated Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, Inc. as <br /> its primary provider of the designated impoundment and housing facility and <br /> administrator of all adoption services for animals impounded pursuant to Indian <br /> River County Code, Chapter 302. Such lands were formerly a County landfill site <br /> presently undergoing an environmental cleanup. The funds used to purchase <br /> back the real property will be used by the Humane Society toward building new <br /> facilities to provide further services to the Indian River County Animal Control <br /> Authority. <br /> 2. Any and all liens for taxes delinquent or current against the <br /> following described lands, which were acquired from Humane Society of Vero <br /> Beach and Indian River County, Inc., a Florida nonprofit corporation are hereby <br /> cancelled pursuant to the authority of section 196.28, F.S. <br /> See attached Special Warranty Deed from <br /> Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River <br /> County, Inc., a Florida nonprofit corporation to <br /> Indian River County describing lands, recorded in <br /> O.R. Book 1404 at Pages 1740-1742, Public <br /> Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br /> The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner <br /> Adams , and the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br /> Ti ppi n , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br /> 2 <br />
