AGENCIES AS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, THE PLANNING COUNCIL, THE ECONOMIC <br />COUNCIL, A LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIAL - ANYONE WHO WOULD BE USING THIS DATA <br />INFORMATION IN THE COUNTY. HE STATED THAT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT <br />SOME CHANGES SHOULD BE MADE IN THE 1970 CENSUS TRACT MAP SINCE THERE HAS <br />BEEN A CHANGE IN THE POPULATION, AND, WITH THE FORMING OF SUCH A COMMITTEE, <br />WE WILL BE BETTER ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT CHANGES TO MAKE. MR. BERG THEN <br />ASKED THAT THE BOARD AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY PLANNER TO REQUEST AT L�4ST A <br />SIX-MONTH EXTENSION, WHICH WOULD ALLOW TIME TO FORM A COMMITTEE AND COME <br />BACK WITH A RECOMMENDATION. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED COMMISSIONER WODTKE TO WRITE <br />A LETTER IN BEHALF OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO THE U.S.BUREAU OF CENSUS <br />REQUESTING AN INITIAL EXTENSION OF SIX MONTHS IN THE SUBMITTING OF THE <br />1980 CENSUS TRACT MAP AND DESIGNATING THE PLANNING DEPARTMEN; AS THE <br />AGENCY TO CONTACT IN THIS REGARD, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED COMMISSIONER.SCHMUCKER TO ASSIST THE <br />COUNTY PLANNER IN COMING BACK WITH A RECOMMENDATION IN REGARD TO THE FORM- <br />ING OF A CENSUS STATISTICAL AREAS COMMITTEE. <br />MR. BERG NEXT ASKED THE BOARD FOR INSTRUCTIONS IN REGARD TO THE <br />PRINTING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP AND NOTED THAT THE PLANNERS HAD <br />BEEN INSTRUCTED NOT TO CONTINUE PREPARING THE MAP UNTIL THE ORDINANCE WAS <br />APPROVED. HE STATED THAT THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT HAS HAD MANY CALLS FROM <br />REALTORS AND CITIZENS REQUESTING COPIES AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE <br />COST OF THE PRINTING WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $300.00. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />. WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO PRO- <br />CEED WITH THE PRINTING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE PROPOSED CHARTER <br />SUGGESTS CHANGING THE NAME OF THE ZONING COMMISSION TO "PLANNING AND <br />ZONING" COMMISSION. <br />IT WAS NOTED THAT THIS MATTER HAS COME UP FOR DISCUSSION BEFORE, <br />AND ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, THE <br />BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY TO ADVERTISE A PUBLIC HEARING <br />IN REGARD TO CHANGING THE NAME OF THE ZONING COMMISSION TO "PLANNING AND <br />ZONING" COMMISSION. <br />12 <br />��� <br />
