CHAIRMAN SIEBERT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAD ALSO RECEIVED <br />AN EMERGENCY ITEM TO BE ADDED TO THE AGENDA AS REQUESTED BY SHERIFF JOYCE <br />IN REGARD TO ADVERTISING FOR A PROPOSED ORDINANCE, <br />ON 140TION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LOY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ADD THE EMERGENCY ITEM REMt1ESTED BY <br />SHERIFF JOYCE TO TODAY'S AGENDA.' <br />SHERIFF JOYCE APPEARED AND EXPLAINED THAT THE ORDINANCE HE IS <br />REQUESTING WILL GIVE HIS INSURANCE AGENT THE AUTHORITY TO BUY LIAB7—ITY <br />I'ISURANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 BODILY INJURY LIABILITY PER PERSON; <br />$500,000 BODILY INJURY LIABILITY PER OCCURANCE; $100,000 PROPERTY <br />DAMAGE LIABILITY PER ACCIDENT FROM THE JOINT UNDERWRITERS ASSOCIATION <br />RATHER THAN BUY IT ON THE OPEN MARKET WHERE IT COSTS MORE MONEY. <br />SHERIFF JOYCE NOTED THAT NOT ONLY IS IT MUCH CHEAPER THIS WAY, BUT HE WOULD <br />GET INCREASED COVERAGE AND ALSO A REBATE ON THE PRESENT PREMIUM, HE <br />FIGURED THERE WOULD BE SAVINGS OF APPROXIMATELY $2,500 TO $3,000, <br />ON POTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ADVERTISMENT OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />AN ORDINANCE IN REGARD TO LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT. <br />THE HOUR OF 9:30 O'CLOCK A.M.
