RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 034 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD <br />REVITALIZATION SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2007. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners to submit an application to the Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs for a Small Cities Community Development Block Grant in the <br />Neighborhood Revitalization category to benefit persons of low and moderate <br />income; <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />application is consistent with the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, construction of a fire station in the Gifford area serves low and <br />moderate income beneficiaries. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY; that <br />SECTION 1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby directs the <br />County Clerk to execute all necessary certifications for the Community <br />Development Block Grant application to be submitted on or before April 20, 2007. <br />SECTION 2. The Board of County Commissioners directs the Community <br />Development Director to execute and submit an application to the Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs for State approval. <br />1 <br />
