r <br />THE MATTER OF THE REQUIRED 20' DEDICATION OF RIGHT OF WAY WAS <br />DISCUSSED, AND IT WAS NOTED THAT IT IS SHOWN ON THE PLAT. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT QUESTIONED WHETHER THE CITY COULD GRANT THE <br />SUBDIVISION WATER WITHOUT APPROVAL OF THE.000NTY, AS ACCORDING TO THE <br />TRIPARTIiF AGREEMENT THE COUNTY MUST FIRST RELINQUISH THE SERVICE AREA* <br />TO THE CITY. <br />SIGURD HERSLOFF, .JR., ONE OF THE OWNERS OF INDIAN COVE SUBDI- <br />VISION, APPEARED AND STATED THAT HE ASSUMED EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER AS <br />THEY HAD ALREADY GOTTEN THEIR PERMITS AND WATER METERS, <br />SPECULATION FOLLOWED AS TO WHETHER THIS AREA POSSIBLY HAS <br />ALREADY BEEN RELEASED FROM THE COUNTY'S SERVICE AREA ALONG WITH VERA <br />CRUZ.AND PEBBLE BAY. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS ASKED IF IT WOULD BE FEASIBLE TO GRANT <br />TENTATIVE APPROVAL SUBJECT TO THE VARIOUS CONSIDERATIONS THAT NEED TO BE <br />RESOLVED AS THIS WOULD LET THE DEVELOPER PROGRESS, BUT ALL THE CONSIDERA- <br />TIONS WOULD HAVE TO BE SATISFIED BEFORE APPROVAL OF THE FINAL PLAT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, COMMISSIONER LOY AND CHAIRMAN SIEBERT VOTED IN FAVOR, THE BOARD <br />GRANTED TENTATIVE APPROVAL TO INDIAN COVE SUBDIVISION SUBJECT TO REVIEW <br />BY THE ATTORNEY AND ADMINISTRATOR AS TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDA- <br />TIONS OF THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW COMMITTEE. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ANNOUNCED THAT SOME OF THE COUNTY'S OUTSTAND- <br />ING'CITIZENS WERE PRESENT IN ORDER TO PRESENT TO THE COMMISSIONERS THE <br />PROPOSED CHARTER, AND HE EXTENDED TO THEM THE BOARD'S HEARTFELT THANKS <br />FOR THEIR MANY HOURS OF WORK ON THIS DOCUMENT. <br />SHERMAN SMITH, SJR., APPEARED, ACCOMPANIED BY J.B. EGAN, III, <br />DANNY CESNER, RON HUDSON AND R.C. HASSELL. MR SMITH READ TO THOSE <br />PRESENT A LETTER FROM DAN RICHARDSON, CHAIRMAN OF THE CHARTER COMMISSION, <br />FORMALLY FORWARDING TO THE BOARD THE PROPOSED CHARTER, AND THANKED THE <br />BOARD FOR THEIR INITIATIVE IN APPOINTING THE CHARTER COMMISSION. HE <br />STATED THAT HE FELT THE CHARTER FORM OF GOVERNMENT WILL BE OF GREAT BENE- <br />FIT TO THE COUNTY AND NOTED THAT THE PRIMARY CONSIDERATION SEEMS TO BE <br />WHETHER THE CHARTER FORM OF GOVERNMENT WILL COST MORE.
