VAL BRENNAN DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES <br />TO BE FOLLOWED IN CARRYING OUT THE STREET NUMBERING AND NAMING PROGRAM, <br />THE BOARD AGREED, AS SUGGESTED EARLIER IN THE MEETING, THAT <br />BOTH THE STREET NAMES AND NUMBERS SHOULD BE INCLUDED ON THE STREET SIGNS, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NOTED THAT AN AMENDMENT COULD BE MADE TO <br />THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS ORDINANCE TO THIS EFFECT. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS RECOMMENDED THAT DEVELOPMENTS SUCH AS <br />.JOHNS ISLAND OR THE MOORINGS TO ALLOWED TO DESIGN THEIR OWN SIGNS IF <br />THEY WISH, BUT THEY MUST INCLUDE BOTH THE STREET NAME AND NUMBER. <br />MR. BRENNAN INFORMED THE BOARD THAT IN RECORDED SUBDIVISIONS <br />,WHICH HAVE NAMED STREETS WHICH ARE NOT YET DEVELOPED, HE WOULD LIKE TO <br />SUBMIT TO THE BOARD NUMBERS FOR THESE STREETS TO BE ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION <br />AND HAVE THE NAMES PHASED OUT. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT AN ORDINANCE COULD BE SET UP FOR <br />THIS PROCEDURE, <br />MR. BRENNAN NOTED THAT PASSING AN ORDINANCE TAKES A WHILE TO <br />ACCOMPLISH, AND PRIORITIES MUST BE ESTABLISHED FOR MAKING THESE CHANGES, <br />HE CONTINUED THAT WHEN SIGNS ARE CHANGED, HE THOUGHT THE ADMINISTRATOR <br />SHOULD ADVISE THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT WHAT SIGNS ARE CHANGED AND WHERE, <br />AND THEN THE OWNER, TAX ASSESSOR, AMBULANCE SQUAD, FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN, <br />ETC,, MUST BE NOTIFIED, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT STATED THAT THIS`IS AN ADMINISTRATIVE <br />RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT UP TO THE BOARD AFTER THE ORDINANCE IS PASSED. <br />ASSISTANT PLANNER BERG POINTED IOUT -THAT PLATS ARE RECORDED AND <br />COPIES DISTRIBUTED BY THE PROPERTY APPRAISER, AND WHEN CHANGES ARE MADE, <br />THE STREET SIGNS WILL NOT AGREE WITH THE PLATS. VAL BRENNAN DISCUSSED <br />CHANGING THE NAMES ON THE PLATS. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS POINTED OUT THAT NAMES ON PLATS THAT HAVE <br />BEEN RECORDED CANNOT BE CHANGED; A NEW PLAT WOULD HAVE TO BE FILED. HE <br />NOTED THAT NUMBERS COULD BE ADDED, HOWEVER. <br />DISCUSSION CONTINUED, AND THE BOARD AGREED ATTORNEY COLLINS <br />SHOULD RESEARCH THIS MATTER WITH COUNTY PLANNER BRENNAN. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT IN REGARD TO THE 10,000 <br />' J <br />G.P,D.
