P R O C L A M A T IO'N <br />WHEREAS, the schools represent the -best efforts of <br />the community, the state, and the nation to improve the quality <br />of life; and <br />WHEREAS, defining the schools' goals and evaluating <br />their results are the responsibilities of an informed and <br />involved citizenry; and <br />I' <br />WHEREAS, there is a widespread need for better communi- <br />cation and more cooperative relationships between professional <br />educators and the community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the week <br />of November 14 to November 20, 1976 be designated as AMERICAN <br />EDUCATION WEEK and do urge all citizens to: <br />Reaffirm their commitment to improving education <br />on all levels, and <br />Translate that commitment into action by visiting <br />local schools <br />Done in regular session of the Board of County Com- <br />missioners of Indian River County, Florida on the 3rd -day <br />of November, 1976. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Willard /rT.
