<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
<br />- Zoning Commission of Indian River County,
<br />Florida, has tentatively approved the following
<br />changes and additions to the Zoning Ordinance
<br />of Indian River County, Florida, which
<br />changes and additions are substantially as
<br />follows:

<br />AND STATED THAT IT IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 14ABASSO ROAD AND IS
<br />SURROUNDED BY GROVES. HE NOTED THAT ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THIS AREA
<br />IS SHOWN AS EITHER AN AGRICULTURAL OR PRIMARY CITRUS USE. HE INFORMED
<br />THE BOARD THAT THE APPLICANT, KEITH MARTIN, HAS SUBMITTED A PLAN SUBDIVID—
<br />ING THIS PROPERTY INTO NINE LOTS, BUT HAS OMITTED A SMALL AREA WHICH WOULD
<br />HAVE TO BE INCLUDED IN A SUBDIVISION.
<br />MR. BERG STATED THAT THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT WANTS TO ELIMINATE
<br />STRIP ZONING AND IN NOW IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING STUDIES ALONG L.S.HIGHWAY 1
<br />AND WABASSO ROAD TO ELIMINATE NEEDLESS COMMERCIAL ZONING. HE NOTED THAT
<br />THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IS ONLY 20 ACRES AND COULD NOT BE PROFITABLY DEVELOPED
<br />INTO CITRUS. PSR. BERG CONTINUED THAT THE PLANNING STAFF AND THE ZONING
<br />COMMISSION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, BUT THERE HAS BEEN SOME OBJECTION BY CITRUS
<br />PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT ANY RESIDENTIAL USE THERE AT ALL.
