RESOLUTION <br />VERO BEACH - INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />WHEREAS: The Vero Beach -Indian River County Chamber of Commerce <br />has for ssny years worked toward obtaining an excellent economic <br />base for the area; and <br />WHEREAS; the growth anticipated for Indian River County dictates <br />that water will be required for residents, busIuesses and Indus- <br />tries, which will come in the next few years; and <br />WHEREAS, without a County Water System, a true realization of a <br />good economic base cannot be realized and adequate jobs cannot be <br />available for our people; now <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of the Vero Beach <br />Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, does hereby urge the <br />Indian River County Commission to proceed with plans for a County <br />Water System and implement said plans at the earliest possible <br />date;'and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the -County Commission be complimented <br />on their :previous discussion and action on a County Water System, <br />and be further encouraged to act as quickly as possible on the <br />matter, which is of major importance to current and future residents, <br />businesses and industries and the jobs which will,be provided <br />when said water system is complete. <br />Adopted this 11th day of October, 1976, by the Board of Directors <br />of the Vero Beach - Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. <br />Kay'W.
