1 IS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-130 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, RESTRUCTURING THE LAND <br />ACQUISITION ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has adopted policies in its Comprehensive Plan <br />which encourage the acquisition of tracts of valuable native land, environmentally <br />sensitive land, or lands which have great recreational worth, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has decided that the decision <br />of which lands to buy should be made after input from a large group of varied and <br />informed interests so that the decision will have the support of the majority of the <br />population of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 90-104, the Board of County Commissioners created <br />the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 92-58, the Board of County Commissioners amended <br />Resolution 90-104 revising its membership; and <br />WHEREAS, the Land Acquisition Guide of Indian River County dated October <br />18, 1994, recommends a committee consisting of seventeen (17) members. <br />WHEREAS, it is the will of the Board of County Commissioners to restructure the <br />composition of the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee in Tight of recent ordinance <br />changes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee is hereby reestablished and restructured. <br />This resolution repeals and replaces Resolution 90-104 and Resolution 92-58. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee shall be composed of seventeen (17) <br />members. Committee members must be residents of Indian River County as <br />follows: <br />a. A representative of the City of Vero Beach City Council; <br />b. A representative of the City of Sebastian City Council; <br />c.
