RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 126 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, RESTRUCTURING THE BEACH AND <br />SHORE PRESERVATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 161, Part II, Florida Statutes, authorized counties to <br />coordinate beach and shore preservation programs, and <br />WHEREAS, an important step in establishing and administering programs of this <br />nature is the continuation of an advisory committee to assist the Board of County <br />Commissioners by conducting studies and recommending programs for beach and <br />shore preservation; and <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 93-68, the Board of County Commissioners created <br />the Indian River County Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the will of the Board of County Commissioners to restructure the <br />composition of the Indian River County Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory <br />Committee in light of recent ordinance changes; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Indian River County Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee is <br />hereby reestablished and restructured. This resolution repeals and replaces <br />Resolution 93-68. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee shall have eleven voting <br />members, each member must be a resident of Indian River County and appointed <br />as follows: <br />a. Six members shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />b. One member appointed by the city council of the City of Fellsmere. <br />c. One member appointed by the town council of the Town of Orchid. <br />d. One member appointed by the city council of the City of Sebastian. <br />e. One member appointed by the city council of the City of Vero Beach. <br />f.
