ATTORNEY MANK NOTED THAT THIS LEASE WOULD BE $2.00 PER SQUARE <br />FOOT FOR APPROXIMATELY 3,000 SQUARE FEET AND THE SPACE OFFERED IS ON THE <br />EAST SIDE OF THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE OLD GRANT BUILDING WHICH IS LOCATED <br />JUST ACROSS THE ALLEYWAY FROM THE COURTHOUSE° HE CONTINUED THAT THEY <br />HAVE FOUND NOTHING THAT COULD COMPARE WITH THIS PRICE, AND IN ADDITION <br />THE OWNER WILL INSTALL ALL PARTITIONS, PAINT THE WALLS AND PUT IN <br />CARPETING. ATTORNEY MANK INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE CEILINGS ARE VERY <br />HIGH, AND THE OWNER WILL ALSO PROVIDE DROPPED CEILINGS AT A COST OF <br />$3,500 TO BE PAYABLE EITHER ON A LONG TERM BASIS OR AT THE RATE OF 40� <br />PER SQ, FT, DURING THE DURATION OF THE LEASE. ATTORNEY MANK STATED HE <br />HAD PREPARED A PROPOSED LEASE AND WOULD LIKE THE BOARD TO GIVE THEIR <br />APPROVAL AS HE FELT THIS SPACE WOULD BE EXCELLENT FOR ANY GOVERNMENTAL <br />AGENCY, PARTICULARLY THE STATE'S ATTORNEY. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE FACT THAT COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER IS A <br />PARTIAL OWNER OF THIS BUILDING WHICH MAY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE COUNTY <br />TO RENT THIS SPACE. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE FELT IF IT WERE CONDUCTED ON A BID BASIS, IT <br />MIGHT BE LEGAL PROCEDURE, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON AND CHAIRMAN WODTKE VOTED IN FAVOR, THE BOARD APPROVED <br />RENTAL OF 3,000 SQ. FT. OF OFFICE SPACE ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE OLD <br />i . <br />GRANT BUILDING, SUBJECT TO THE ATTORNEY'S RULING ON THE CONFLICT OF <br />INTEREST AND SUBJECT TO HIS APPROVAL OF THE LEASE; SAID LEASE TO BE FOR <br />A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS WITH A MINIMUM ONE YEAR OPTION AND THE COST OF <br />THE DROPPED CEILINGS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE ANNUAL SQUARE FOOTAGE <br />PAYMENTS. <br />j ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, COMMISSIONER LOY AND CHAIRMAN WODTKE VOTED IN FAVOR, THE BOARD <br />AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY, IF HIS FINDING IN REGARD TO ACCEPTING THE <br />PROPOSAL FOR SPACE IN THE OLD GRANT BUILDING IS NEGATIVE, TO ADVERTISE <br />FOR BIDS ON OFFICE SPACE FOR THE STATE'S ATTORNEY FOR DECEMBER 15, 1976, <br />THE TIME TO BE SET BY ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER RETURNED TO THE MEETING. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAS RECEIVED <br />i� <br />FROM MRS.
