RESOLUTION NO. 2003-134 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, RESTRUCTURING THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY UTILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, County utility operations are a major part of County government; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, an important step in utility growth in Indian River County is the <br />existence of an advisory committee to assist the Board of County Commissioners <br />concerning utility matters in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the will of the Board of County Commissioners to restructure the <br />composition of the Utility Advisory Committee in light of recent ordinance changes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Indian River County Utility Advisory Committee is hereby reestablished and <br />restructured. This resolution repeals and replaces Resolution 97-37. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Utility Advisory Committee shall be composed of seven voting members <br />appointed by the Board of County Commissioners Members must be residents of <br />Indian River County and shall consist of the following members: <br />a. Each County Commissioner shall have the authority to make one <br />appointment to the Committee. A person appointed by each <br />Commissioner shall have utility or finance experience. <br />b. There shall be two members at -large appointed by a majority vote of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />No employee or former employee shall serve on the committee. <br />3. TERM OF OFFICE. <br />The term of office for each member shall be two years. <br />4.
