COLLINS, JR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WAS <br />DELAYED. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCED THAT THE <br />PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO CONDUCT INTERVIEWS OF CONSULTANTS FOR <br />n <br />_. P N DE IGNATED AREAS AS REQUIRED IN PARAGRAPH 2 STATE RESOURCE E RCE RECOVERY <br />MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, CHAPTER -1777, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE HE <br />CONTINUED THAT HE WOULD TURN OVER THE MEETING TO COMMISSIONER LOY TO <br />CONDUCT '-AE INTERVIEWS SINCE SHE HAS BEEN WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />-.ADMINISTRATOR JENNIivt,S ON THIS MATTER.. <br />_ COMMISSIONER Loy ASCERTAINED THAT THE TWO GENTLEMEN PRESENT IN <br />THE COMMISSION ROOM WERE REPRESENTATIVES OF CONNELL, METCALF & EDDY, INC., <br />AND STATED THAT WE ARE HERE FOR THE PURPOSE OF INTERVIEWING CONSULTANTS <br />PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 17-7 WITH THE IDEA OF NEGOTIATING A CONTRACT FOR <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY WITH WHICHEVER ONE IS SELECTED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS G <br />OF THE$TATE RESOURCE RECOVERY PROGRAM., <br />RICHARD HOWARD, VICE PRESIDENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS FOR <br />CONNELL, METCALF & EDDY, INC., TOOK THE FLOOR; INTRODUCED MR. CARL <br />MILLER, WHO IS THEIR PROPOSED PROJECT MANAGER, IF THEY ARE SELECTED; AND <br />STATED THEY WOULD MAKE A 35 MINUTE PRESENTATION AND HAVE 15 MINUTES <br />AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONING, <br />MR. HOWARD INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THEY ARE A PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES FIRM WITH OFFICES IN CORAL GABLES, ORLANDO AND CAPE CORAL IPJ <br />FLORIDA, AND OUTSIDE FLORIDA IN MASSACHUSETTS, NEW YORK, ALABAMA, AND <br />ILLINOIS, THEY HAVE A STAFF OF OVER 800 PEOPLE, OF WHICH THEIR FLORIDA <br />STAFF EXCEEDS 120, HE NOTED THAT THEY PROVIDE FULL SERVICE FROM PLANNING <br />AND DESIGN THROUGH CONSTRUCTION AND ARE ABLE TO HANDLE PRACTICALLY ALL <br />
