THE BOARD NEXT DISCUSSED MAKING A SELECTION FROM THE ENGINEER- <br />ING FIRMS INTERVIEWED TODAY AND WHETHER JUST ONE SHOULD BE SELECTED OR <br />WHETHER THEY SHOULD BE NAMED IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE - ONE, TWO AND THREE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE STATUTES REQUIRE <br />THEY BE NAMED IN THE ONE, TWO, THREE ORDER. <br />IN DISCUSSION, IT WAS AGREED THAT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO MAKE A <br />SELECTION TODAY AS IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THEM COORDINATE WITH <br />ENGINEER BEINDORF ON SITE SELECTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, TO NAME POST, BUCKLEY, SCHUH & JERNIGAN, INC., FIRST PREFERENCE; <br />STOTTLER STAGG & ASSOCIATES, SECOND PREFERENCE; AND CONNELL, METCALF & <br />EDDY, INC., THIRD PREFERENCE. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER AGREED THAT POST, BUCKLEY, SCHUH & <br />JERNIGAN, INC., MADE A SUPERIOR PRESENTATION, BUT WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED <br />THAT THEY WERE BASED IN MIAMI. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy STATED SHE FELT THEIR CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE <br />IN THIS PARTICULAR TYPE OF WORK OVERSHADOWED ANY CONSIDERATION IN REGARD <br />TO DISTANCE. <br />CHAIRMAN WdDTKE STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO REVERSE THE ORDER <br />OF THE FIRST AND SECOND PREFERENCE AS HE FELT LOCAL CONTACTS ARE <br />IMPORTANT. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy SPOKE OF MR. SEARCY'S EXPERIENCE ON THE <br />RESOURCE RECOVERY COUNCIL AND POINTED OUT THAT HE IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGE- <br />ABLE IN THIS FIELD. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE NOTED THAT HE WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR <br />WORKING CLOSELY WITH MR. BEINDORF. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS SAID HE DID NOT FEEL THERE WOULD BE ANY <br />PROBLEM IN THIS REGARD WITH ANY OF THE THREE FIRMS. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. COMMISSIONERS SIEBERT, <br />Loy, SCHMUCKER AND DEESON VOTED IN FAVOR. CHAIRMAN WODTKE VOTED IN <br />OPPOSITION. THE MOTION CARRIED. <br />CHAIRMAN VJODTKE INSTRUCTED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO CONTACT POST, <br />BUCKLEY SCHUH & JERNIGAN, INC., AND ASKED THAT THE ADMINISTRATOR, <br />COMMISSIONER LOY AND ATTORNEY COLLINS REVIEW WITH THE CONSULTANTS THEIR <br />PROPOSED FEES AND, IF POSSIBLE, PRESENT A CONTRACT FOR CONSIDERATION AT <br />0 <br />13 <br />27 ?szi ,V <br />
