�. .<m-t,,� pin. r .•-•-...,,� <br />���"*, �� � t:� -��� �i ,•moi` i1 /7 �' i f`7 �i .s: �t � �j ,..`i��. <br />r,, <br />....... <br />.BOARD <br />51 COUNTY <br />U <br />INDIAN <br />RIVER <br />COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ;s . <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-95 <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 75-67 the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County pursuant to Florida Statute 125. 60-64 (1975) <br />established a thirteen member Charter Commission to study and make <br />recommendations to the citizens of Indian River County regarding the <br />most .economical, efficient and effective form of home rule govern- <br />ment;and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Indian River County Resolution 75-67 Lomax <br />Gwathmey received appointment as one of the thirteen Charter <br />Commission members, and, <br />WHEREAS, Lomax Gwathmey as a Charter Commission member con- <br />ducted a comprehensive study of the operation of county government <br />and as Chairman of the Administrative Committee analyzed in depth <br />methods to improve and reorganize our local governmwit for the <br />benefit of all citizens in Indiun-River County, and, <br />WHEREAS, after long hours of study, organization meetings with Sub - <br />Committees, assimilation of material, preparation of tentative drafts, <br />debates, and public hearings the Commission completed the final <br />Charter Document, submitted it to the Board of County Commissioners <br />for Indian River County on September 1, 1976, and, <br />WHEREAS, although the results of the Charter Referendum were <br />unsuccessful the citizens of Indian River County owe a great debt of <br />appreciation to Lomax Gwathmey for his diligent efforts and service <br />to our community and county government. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian Raver County, Florida, that the Board <br />extends its appreciation and honors Lomax Gwathmey on behalf of <br />the citizens of Indian River County for his contribution and diligent <br />effort as a member of the Charter: Commission and Chairman of the <br />Administrative Committee.
