HE EXPLAINED THAT THE NEW HOSPITAL NEEDS ADDITIONAL <br />DRAINAGE, AND THE DOT AGREED'TO ENLARGE THEIR DRAINAGE DITCH PROVIDED THEY <br />COULD GET 20' ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY, THE HOSPITAL.WAS AGREEABLE TO THIS. <br />THEN VERO MED CAME INTO THE PICTURE, AND THEY ALSO NEEDED ADDITIONAL DRAIN- <br />AGE AND AGREED TO GIVE 20' ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY. THE POSSIBILITY NEXT <br />AROSE THAT THE HOSPITAL AND VERO PIED MIGHT BE OPEN PRIOR TO THE OPENING <br />OF BARBER AVENUE, AND THE ADMINISTRATOR ASKED THE DOT TO CONSIDER LETTING <br />A MINI -CONTRACT SO THESE PLACES COULD DRAIN WHETHER BARBER AVENUE WAS OPEN <br />OR NOT. THE DOT WAS AGREEABLE TO THIS. THE ADMINISTRATOR CONTINUED THAT <br />NOW VERO MED HAS COME UP WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO <br />DONATE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY ONLY IF THEY CAN BE ASSURED THAT CONSTRUCTION OF <br />BARBER AVENUE WILL BE COMPLETED WITHIN 18 MONTHS.
