Rehabilitation Loan or Grant Flow Chart <br />Applicant submits a completed LHAP application to the County. This must <br />include a list of rehabilitation work that the applicant wants to be done <br />If applicant is eligible, the County will notify the LHAP inspector <br />The LHAP inspector will call the applicant and schedule an inspection <br />The LHAP Inspector will inspect the house <br />The LHAP Inspector makes a determination if the house is structurally sound, <br />if it can be rehabilitated and, if so, what needs to be done <br />The LHAP inspector prepares the work write-up specifications and cost <br />estimates after the house inspection <br />The County sends the eligibility letter, work write-up, and list of <br />contractors to the applicant <br />The applicant within 6 weeks will obtain two itemized/detailed proposals from <br />two licensed contractors to undertake the needed rehabilitation work <br />identified in the work write-up <br />The LHAP Inspector reviews the contractors' proposals <br />If the proposals are acceptable, the applicant will sign the bid <br />1 <br />The County's LRC reviews and approves the loan or grant <br />The County prepares mortgage documents and closes the loan or grant <br />The County will send a notice to proceed to the contractor(s) and copy to <br />applicants and LHAP inspector <br />The LHAP Inspector conducts a pre -construction conference as needed with the <br />contractor on site <br />21 <br />
