a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77— 45 <br />i WHEREAS, the roadway south of State Road 510 <br />and perpendicular to 510 running south along the East bank <br />Of +-;sb Indian River is regarded by the citizens of Indian <br />River County as one of the most scenic drives in the State <br />of Florida; and <br />_ j s <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of <br />: Indian River County, Florida recently filed a maintenance <br />plat on said Jungle Trail, having maintained it for over <br />i <br />forty (40) years; and <br />WHEREAS, said Jungle Trail has become badly eroded <br />i <br />by the waves caused by boats running north and south in the <br />Intercoastal Waterway; and <br />WHEREAS, along Jungle Trail some of the scenic <br />pines and palms are beginning to fall into the river creating <br />an emergency situation along Jungle Trail; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County are anxious to seek the help 'of'the various State <br />and Federal Agencies in preserving Jungle Trail as one of the <br />most scenic drives in the State of Florida; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />Jungle Trail between State Road 510 and the Old Winter Beach <br />Road is hereby declared to be in an emergency state of dis- <br />repair, caused by erosion; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the help from various <br />State and Federal Agencies is requested by the Board to preserve <br />Jungle Trail as one of the most scenic drives within the State <br />of Florida. <br />MY 4 1977 <br />This Resolution shall become effective as of the <br />4rh day of May , 197_ <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />". <br />BY: <br />/ <br />William C.
