HE CONTINUED THAT HE DOES FEEL <br />j <br />WE SHOULD HAVE ONE LARGER CAR AVAILABLE FOR COUNTY USE AND THE ''MERCURY <br />WHICH HE WOULD RECOMMEND, HAS A HEAVIER WHEEL BASE, BUT IT IS ALSO THE <br />i <br />HIGHEST BID. ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS STATED THAT THE PRESENT CAR HE IS <br />USING is 5-1/2 YEARS OLD, BUT I:T HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND HE <br />1 <br />WOULD RECOMMEND CANCELING ALL BIDS AND CONTINUING TO USE THE PRESENT <br />CAR A WHILE LONGER, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED NOT TO ACCEPT ANY OF THE BIDS AS RE- <br />COMMENDED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR. <br />PERSONNEL DIRECTOR DONLON DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD THE BIDS <br />RECEIVED ON THE GROUP HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM, HE NOTED THAT <br />ALL THE BIDS WERE ACCEPTABLE AND MOST OF THEM DID MEET OUR SPECIFICATIONS, <br />THOUGH IT WOULD APPEAR THAT SOME OF THE COMPANIES DID NOT WANT TO MAKE <br />A LINE BY LINE COMPARISON WITH OUR PRESENT SPECIFICATIONS, HE NOTED HE <br />HAD TAKEN EACH OF THE BENEFITS WE NOW HAVE AND PUT A BLANK LINE BY IT SO <br />THE BIDDING COMPANY COULD SHOW US WHAT THEY WOULD BE GIBING FOR THAT <br />PARTICULAR BENEFIT.
