RESOLUTION NO. 77-51 <br />WHEREAS, Representatives.from the U. S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Service have appeared before the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, requesting a fifty-year lease for <br />the development of the South part of Wabasso Island at the Wabasso <br />Bridge; and <br />WHEREAS, the desires of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service <br />appear to be consistent with Indian River County's intent to <br />develop property for recreational purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the lease entered into by Indian River County <br />with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service shall be subject to <br />the approval of the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service has been aware <br />of the -County's desire to protect the security of the property <br />and improvements to be constructed thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the further intent of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County to protect the ecology of <br />the area as it now exists; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That Indian River <br />County will enter into a fifty-year lease with the U. S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service for the development of the South part of Wabasso <br />Island, subject to terms to be negotiated in said lease and sub- <br />ject to approval of the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund. <br />This Resolution shall become effective as of the 8th <br />day of ' June , -1977. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By <br />,/ William C.
