FLORIDA 32960 PHONE (3M W2.4173 <br />May 2i, 191 <br />Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />Indian River County Courthouse <br />••Vero Beach, Florida 32960 ` <br />In compliance with Section 195.087•F.Sa, please find enclosed a copy <br />of our proposed budget for the period of October 1, 1977, through <br />September 30, 1978. <br />Through re -organization and staffing my office with capable employees <br />to handle our work.locally, we have managed to cut our budget over <br />the amount requested last year. Due to this same re -organization and <br />management of the budgeted funds, it appears at this time that we will <br />end the budget year.of September 30, 1977, with an excess of funds. <br />Under Mr. Fletcher•s administration, this office received a loan from <br />the'Proper•ty Assessment -Loan Fund, State of Florida, to pay for the <br />settlement of law suit pertaining to the computer. The total amount <br />of this loan is $27,103.70 with interest at 5-1/2w per annum. I feel <br />that it would be good management of our tax dollars to apply, any <br />excess funds that I have been able to save on the 197T -budget toward <br />° the redemption of this debt. <br />i <br />It is requested that if you concur with this use of excess funds up <br />to the amount necessary to retire this debt that you inform me of <br />your approval.
