THAT THERE IS A LOT OF PROPERTY BETWEEN THE SOUTH CITY LIMITS AND THE COUNTY <br />I <br />LINE AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY FOR THEM TO BE SERVICED NOW THAT ALL THE <br />TAPS ON THE ONE LINE HAVE BEEN SPOKEN FOR. . <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS SAID HE VERY DEFINITELY FELT IT IS THE COUNTY'S <br />i 3 <br />FUNCTION TO ISOLATE PARTICULAR NEEDS OF PARTICULAR AREAS AND SET UP MUNICIPAL <br />TAXING DISTRICTS. HE FELT THAT THE RESIDENTS REPRESENTED BY ATTORNEY <br />i SHARP WILL COME UP WITH A SHORT-TERM SOLUTION, BUT EVENTUALLY THE ENTIRE <br />SOUTH BEACH AREA WILL NEED WATER AND SOMETHING MUST BE SET UP. HE NOTED <br />THAT THE CITY WILL PROVIDE SERVICES, BUT THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY OUTSIDE OF <br />i <br />THE CITY LIMITS, AND THE COUNTY WILL HAVE TO WORK WITH THEM.•. THE ATTORNEY <br />CONTINUED THAT THE TENTATIVE CITY POSITION IS THAT AS LONG AS THE CITY <br />GUARANTEES THE MOORINGS WILL HAVE THE TAP-INS ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON, THEY <br />WILL NOT BE DAMAGED, AND THUS THE CITY MAY GO AHEAD REGARDLESS OF THE <br />MOORINGS AGREEMENT. <br />• I <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED ATTORNEY COLLINS TO CORRESPOND WITH <br />ATTORNEY SHARP AND INDICATE THAT THE COUNTY HAS NO OBJECTION TO THE PROPERTY <br />OWNERS WHOM HE REPRESENTS MAKING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF VERO BEACH <br />IN REGARD TO A WATER LINE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE ZONING COMMISSION <br />HAS COME UP WITH A NUMBER OF RECOMMENDATIONS.IN REGARD TO HANDLING THE FLEA <br />MARKET SITUATION WHICH WILL AFFECT BASICALLY FOUR DIFFERENT"PARTS OF THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE. HE ASKED FOR AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON <br />THESE ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />i <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED ATTORNEY COLLINS TO ADVERTISE PUBLIC <br />HEARINGS AS ABOVE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS•NEXT DISCUSSED THE MATTER OF CHANGING REQUIRE- <br />MENTS FOR PARKING SPACES WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE OF TENANTS. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON CHANGE OF TENANTS IN AN EXISTING BUILDING, <br />AND CHAIRMAN WODTKE POINTED OUT THAT IF YOU HAVE A NEW TENANT COME IN WHO <br />i <br />PUTS IN A TYPE OF BUSINESS THAT REQUIRES MORE PARKING SPACES, YOU ARE <br />ACTUALLY TAKING PARKING SPACES AWAY FROM THE OTHER TENANTS WHO STILL NEED <br />THEIR ORIGINAL AMOUNT. <br />29 <br />0 <br />
