ASSISTANT PLANNER BERG NOTED THAT THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON <br />DUDA ROAD WEST OF U,S.HIGHWAY I AND ABUTS THE HIGHWAY. HE INFORMED THE <br />BOARD THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF REQUESTS FOR SINGLE FAMILY HOMES IN <br />THIS AREA,, AND NOTED THAT THIS IS AN AREA THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN <br />STUDYING TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT SOME OF THE COMMERCIAL ZONING SHOULD <br />BE ELIMINATED. HE FURTHER NOTED•THAT THE ENTIRE AREA IS PLATTED AND WAS <br />ORIGINALLY INTENDED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE, PSR, BERG CONTINUED THAT THE <br />ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED THAT THE WHOLE BLOCK BE REZONED, AND THIS <br />IS WHAT IS BEING REQUESTED.
