• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012- 014 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 7, <br /> GENERAL PROVISIONS, OF RESOLUTION NO. 2003-125 TO ALLOW <br /> THE CHAIR OF THE AGRICULTURE ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO <br /> SERVE FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR FOR THE 2012-2013 TERM. <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2003-125 re-established and restructured the Indian River <br /> County Agriculture Advisory Committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7 of Resolution No. 2003-125 provides that each chair and vice <br /> chair shall serve for a one (1) year term and may be re-elected, but shall be limited to two (2) <br /> successive annual terms, at which point they would be ineligible to chair the committee for at <br /> least one (1)year; and <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Adair has chaired the Agriculture Advisory Committee for two <br /> years at the time of election of a new chair on January 2012, all other committee members <br /> declined to serve citing, among other reasons, lack of experience on the committee, distances to <br /> travel, and other time commitments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agriculture Advisory Committee re-elected Robert Adair as Chair, <br /> subject to approval of the Board of County Commissioners. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Robert Adair's re- <br /> election as Chair of the Agriculture Advisory Committee for the 2012-2013 term is approved. <br /> F..UttorneylLindaIGENERALIRESOLUTIONS-ORDINANCESIResolutionslCommittees-Agriculture Advisoty.doc <br /> 1 <br />
