RESOLUTION N0. 77-85 . <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, R. T. "TIM" DOBECK is an Investigator in the <br />Indian River County Sheriff's office; and <br />WHEREAS, The Vista Royale Golf Course suffered extensive <br />vandalism to the golf course and golf carts on the 12th day of <br />September, 1976; and <br />WHEREAS; Vista Properties of Vero Beach, Inc. the owner <br />of the Vista Royale Golf Club, for the purposes of deterring <br />future crimes to Indian River County, offered a One Thousand <br />($1,000.00) Dollar reward for the apprehension of the parties <br />involved in the vandalism to the Vista Royale Course; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator, R. T. "TIM" DOBECK, was directly <br />instrumental in the investigation and arrest of the parties <br />responsible for the vandalism to the Vista Royale Golf Course; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Vista Properties of Vero Beach, Inc. offered to <br />pay the reward directly to Investigator, R. T. "TIM" DOBECK, as <br />a reward to him for the part he played in the apprehension of <br />the vandals; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator R. T. "TIM" DOBECK declined to <br />personally accept the One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollar reward and <br />requested the money be paid to the Sheriff's Boys' Ranch and Girls' <br />Villas to support the fine work being performed by the Sheriff <br />sponsored charity; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is fortunate to have proficient <br />and community -spirited officers such as R. T. "TIM" DOBECK serving <br />in the Sheriff's Department; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That R. T. "TIM" <br />DOBECK, an Investigator with the Indian Fiver County Sheriff's <br />Department is honored for his efforts which led to the arrest <br />of the vandals who destroyed portions of the Vista Royale Golf <br />Course and golf carts used on the course; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,'That the County is proud to have <br />such dedicated and public-spirited law enforcement officers <br />protecting its citizenry. <br />Said Resolution shall become effective as of the 24th <br />day of August , 1977. <br />K J <br />AU 6 2 4197 <br />Chairman,County Comm ss oners <br />ma 30 PA -11 82 <br />
