1 <br />1 <br />i <br />1 <br />2 <br />TUESDAY, JM 3rd 1930. j <br />9 <br />The Board of County Commis si oners in and for Indian River county, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, at 10 o'clock A.M,Tuesda.y, June 3rd 1930, with <br />the following members of the .Board present: J.D.Yongue; John H.Atkin, and Albert 0. II <br />Helseth, chairman. Also present Miles Marren, Clerk. <br />On account of this date being the day to hold the primary election for the year <br />19309 the Board adjourned until. Thursday, June 5th 1930. <br />i <br />AT T: airman. <br />C l e r k. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the hurt House in Vero Beach, Florida at 10 o'clock A.M.Thursday, June 5th 19309 with <br />the following members of the Board present: J. D. Yougue; J. W. truce; J.J.P.Hamil- <br />ton; John H. Atkin, and Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman-. Also present were Miles warien, <br />Clerk and Clark 3. Rice, Sheriff. <br />The minates of the previous meetings were read, and with corrections were duly <br />approved. <br />*. B. gaffer, representing the Indian giver County Mosquito Control District <br />appeared before the Board regarding ditch near Harry Ferscht s house. It was ordered <br />that the <br />County Engineer durnish the <br />District dynamite <br />to <br />open up <br />this <br />ditch properly. <br />The <br />County Nurse made report of <br />activities among <br />the <br />paupers. <br />It <br />was ordered <br />I the hospital bill of Mrs O.E.Yjnowles be paid up to p90.00 of the amount. Also groceries <br />If or Mrs. Barker of wabasso X11.85 and for work on eyes of Aaron Jackson, 625.00/ <br />1 It was ordered the County Engineer be instructed to loan County Agent two trucks <br />and men to clew up the citrus groves in the County. <br />It was ordered the County Engineer drag and put in shape certain streets in City c <br />Fe ll mne re at the cost of that City. <br />It was ordered the County Engineer surface the road on the peninsular from vlaba <br />No rth, <br />Mr Horace A. Bailey appeared regarding road just North of City limits of Vero <br />Beaoh, from :nixie Highway East a distance of about 1/2 mile. It was ordered the Cduni <br />sneer check up and ascertain if this has been declared,a public road and if public <br />road to put same in condition. <br />It was ordered that the County accept note of B.K.K.ersey for v119.24 for tractor <br />rent and release tbas. Harris of any further obligations in this connection. <br />It vwas o rde red that the salary of the Judge of the County Court be set at §25-00 <br />?er month in conformity with the General law, supreme Court decision and recommendation <br />of the County Attorney. <br />The Notary bond of E.G.Thatcher, in the sum of X500.00 with the American Surety <br />Co . , a c o rpo rat ionnas surety was approved. <br />,application having been made by the farmers Bank of Vero Beach, Florida, to be <br />lesignated County Depository for <br />the year July lot 1930 to June <br />30th 1931, <br />and <br />there <br />)eing no other application., and <br />no other banking institution in <br />the County, <br />it <br />was <br />rdered that said Bank of designated the Depository of this County for the ensuing year <br />all funds coming under the jurisdiction of the Board of County Commissioners, and <br />and or security to act as such Depository is set at the sum of 610,000.00. <br />The following goad petition was received, read, and riled: <br />
