BK: 2688 PG: 1492 <br />nursing homes, convalescent homes and similar organizations. <br />11. To employ and discharge physicians, dentists, nurses, therapists, and other <br />professionals as the Agent may deem necessary for the Principal's physical, mental and <br />emotional well-being and to pay them reasonable compensation. The Agent may also employ <br />and discharge barbers, beauticians, housekeepers, secretaries, and others who aze not health care <br />professionals and pay them reasonable compensation. <br />12. To make and pay for advance funeral, cremation, or other burial arrangements for <br />the Principal as directed by the Agent under the principal's Advanced Healthcaze Directive, for <br />which payments the Principal's Agent is hereby released from any and all liability, if the <br />Principal has not already completed that process, in accordance with the Principal's expressed <br />wishes, if known, or in the Principal's best interest if his/her wishes are not known. <br />AUTHORITY OVER GOVERNMENTAL BENEFTTS <br />13. To apply for and make any elections required for payment of governmental <br />benefits to which the Principal maybe entitled, to take possession of all such benefits, and to <br />distribute such benefits to or for the Principal's benefit. <br />AUTHORITY OVER INSURANCE <br />14. To purchase and maintain insurance on the Principal's life and property or the life <br />and property of any third person when the principal has an insurable interest. The Agent may <br />pay all insurance premiums from the Principal's assets and may borrow money on the Principal's <br />behalf in order to pay for insurance. The Agent may pursue insurance claims on the Principal's <br />behalf and may decrease or increase coverage under any insurance policy or cancel any policy <br />and receive on the Principals behalf any cash proceeds on termination. The Agent may also <br />borrow against policies on the Principal's life and repay loans against such policies as the Agent <br />considers in the Principal's best interest. <br />The Agent is authorized to apply for and make any elections required for payment of <br />insurance benefits to which the Principal maybe entitled, to take possession of all such benefits, <br />and to distribute such benefits to or for the Principal's benefit. <br />AUTHORITY OVER ANNUITIES <br />15. To purchase, maintain, surrender, collect, withdraw funds from, incur penalties <br />and surrender chazges from, cancel, modify, rescind, release, terminate, or exchange any annuity <br />contract procured by the Principal or the Agent. <br />The Agent may also do the following: <br />DPOA of Allan Marshall Edward Licht <br />a.lca.
