SHERIFF .JOYCE STATED THAT THE TRANSFER OF $23,000 COVERS ABOUT <br />10 DIFFERENT CATEGORIES IN HIS BUDGET, AND IF THIS AMOUNT ISN`T TRANS- <br />FERRED INTO THE MAIN PART OF HIS BUDGET, THEY WILL BE THAT MUCH IN THE <br />RED AT THE END OF THIS FISCAL YEAR. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED IF THIS IS THE LAST BUDGET AMENDMENT <br />NEEDED BY THE SHERIFF TO GET HIM SQUARE BY THE END OF THE YEAR, AND HE <br />STATED THAT IT IS AND THAT THEY ALWAYS HAVE TO REALIGN THE BUDGET AT THE <br />END OF THE YEAR. <br />FINANCE OFFICER JACKSON NOTED THAT WE WILL GET ABOUT $1.5,000 IN <br />EXCESS FEES BACK FROM THE SHERIFF`S DEPARTMENT, AND THIS IS APART FROM <br />THE CIVIL FEES WE GET AS AN ON-GOING THING. <br />SHERIFF .JOYCE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO MOW <br />ABOUT THREE ACRES OF LAWN AT THE JAIL, AND THE LAWN MOWER IS SIMPLY WORN <br />OUT AND WOULD COST MORE TO REPAIR THAN IT IS WORTH. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON INFORMED THE SHERIFF THAT THERE HAVE BEEN <br />COMPLAINTS FROM THE FELLSMERE AREA ABOUT YOUNG PEOPLE CONGREGATING ON <br />THE BRIDGE OFF OF PARK LATERAL AND BLOCKING THE ROAD. <br />THE SHERIFF STATED THAT HE HAS RECEIVED ABOUT A DOZEN COMPLAINTS <br />I'N REGARD TO THIS SITUATION, BUT THAT BY THE TIME A DEPUTY GETS THERE, <br />EVERYONE HAS LEFT. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON CONTINUED THAT HE HAS BEEN INFORMED THAT <br />THE DEPUTY JUST ASKED THOSE GATHERED THERE IF THEY WERE 18 YEARS OF AGE BUT <br />DIDNIT CHECK I.D,S. <br />SHERIFF .JOYCE STATED THAT HE HAS NOT BEEN INFORMED THAT HIS <br />DEPUTIES EVER FOUND ANYONE THERE, AND IF HE COULD BE GIVEN THE DATE THIS <br />HAPPENED, HE WILL CHECK IT OUT. <br />IN FURTHER DISCUSSION, THE BOARD SUGGESTED IT MIGHT HELP IF THE <br />DEPUTY MADE HIMSELF A LITTLE MORE CONSPICUOUS IN THIS GENERAL AREA. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO CARRY <br />A CONCEALED FIREARM OF STEPHEN T.
