RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN- <br />NING ACT ASSISTANCE FUND PROGRAM, <br />AUTHORIZING APPLICATION WITH THE <br />.CITY OF SEBASTIAN FOR SUCH FUNDS <br />AND APPOINTING RUSSELL & AXON AS <br />CONSULTANTS TO THE CITY FOR SUCH <br />PURPOSE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Fellsmere, has recognized <br />a need to provide for orderly growth and management as contemplated <br />by the passage of the Florida Local Government Comprehensive Plan- <br />ning Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has recognized a need to <br />assist local governments in availing themselves of the benefit of <br />the Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has charged the Depart - <br />meet of Community Affairs with administering the Local Government <br />Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Fellsmere requests <br />the Department of Community Affairs to include City of Fellsmere <br />application among the joint applications from <br />.ate the City of Sebastian requesting financial assistance from <br />the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund <br />Program for 1977 - 1978 and appoints Russell & Axon'as consultant <br />to the City of Fellsmere to assist the City in making application <br />for such funds. <br />FURTHERMORE, the City Council of Fellsmere, indicates <br />its commitment to comply with the appropriate and applicable <br />State and Local laws, rules, and regulations for the administration <br />of this program, including but not limited to, necessary matching <br />funds, funding only eligible planning activities, etc.r which are <br />more fully described in Chapter 9B-5, F,A.C. <br />0 <br />OCT 1977 _L PAG 2 <br />
