WILL BE READY FRIDAY AND THIS SET IS SUBJECT TO MINOR BRUSH -UP, BUT <br />HE WOULD LIKE THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO BE ACCEPTED BEFORE THE <br />BID IS TAKEN. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR <br />WORK UNDER THE EDA GRANT AS PRESENTED BY THE COUNTY ENGINEERS AND <br />PLACED ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR. <br />_DR. SMITH NEXT DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD THE AGREEMENT FOR <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES AS REQUIRED BY THE FHA, HE INFORMED THE BOARD <br />THAT AFTER DISCUSSING THIS WITH THE FHA, THEY HAVE AGREED TO GO BACK <br />TO THE AGREEMENT OF DEC. 20, 1972, WHICH THE ENGINEERS HAVE WITH THE <br />COUNTY, AND MODIFY THAT AGREEMENT IN SUCH A FORM AS TO DESIGNATE THE <br />TWO PROJECTS NOW UNDER WAY AND SPELL OUT THE ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILI- <br />TIES, AUTHORITIES AND FEES. HE STATED THAT THEY HAVE PREPARED FOR <br />THE BOARDS CONSIDERATION MODIFICATION No. 1 AND N0. 2 ON THE STANDARD <br />FHA FORMS. DR. SMITH NOTED THAT MODIFICATION N0, 2 WILL ALLOW THEM TO <br />GET STARTED ON THE TRANSMISSION LINE TO GIFFORD, TO AWARD THE CONTRACT, <br />AND PROVIDE CASUAL SUPERVISION AND RESIDENTIAL INSPECTION DURING CON- <br />STRUCTION HE CONTINUED THAT AT THE SUGGESTION OF FHA, THEY HAVE <br />COMPUTED WHAT THE FEE'WOULD BE UNDER THEIR FEE SCHEDULE, DEDUCTED <br />FROM THAT FEE THE AMOUNT THEY HAVE INVOICED FOR SERVICES TO DATE, <br />AND PRESENTED A LUMP SUM QUOTATION TO COMPLETE THIS PART OF THE WORK. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED WHETHER THIS COVERS WHAT WE HAVE <br />REFERRED TO AS THE EDA PROJECT AND IF SO, WHETHER THESE ARE ELIGIBLE <br />COSTS UNDER THE EDA GRANT. <br />DR. SMITH STATED THAT IT DOES, AND THE COSTS ARE ELIGIBLE <br />UNDER THE GRANT. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE INQUIRED WHAT RESIDENTIAL INSPECTION COVERS. <br />DR. SMITH INFORMED HIM THAT IT MEANS PUTTING A MAN ON THE <br />JOB 100% OF THE TIME TO SUPERVISE AND KEEP':RECORDS WHILE THE WORK IS <br />BEING DONE, AND THIS IS REQUIRED -BY FHA..
