RESOLUTION NUMBER 2013- 010 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN A LETTER OF <br />CONCURRENCE ON THE PROPOSED 2010 FHWA ADJUSTED <br />URBAN BOUNDARIES INITIATED BY THE FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation, District Four (FDOT D4) <br />recently initiated the decennial review of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) adjusted <br />urban boundaries and Functional Classifications of roads as defined in 23 USC 101(a)(36) -(37) <br />and 49 USC 5302(a)(16) -(17); and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners reviewed and <br />concurred with the draft 2010 Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Adjusted Urban <br />Boundaries for Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, FDOT D4 and the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br />will continually coordinate and mutually support the Federal Functional Classification <br />designation process for all public roads in Indian River County. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners: <br />1. Authorizes the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners to sign a letter of concurrence (attached) to FDOT D4 and agree <br />to forward the proposed boundaries to the FDOT Central Office for subsequent <br />review and approval; and , <br />2. Directs the Community Development Director to transmit the letter of <br />concurrence to the Florida Department of Transportation Central Office for <br />subsequent review and approval. <br />THIS RESOLUTION was offered by Commissioner Davis who <br />moved its adoption.
