J <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS REPORTED THAT HE AND ENGINEER <br />BEINDORF HAVE REVIEWED THE BID DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED BY COLT INDUSTRIES <br />ON THE CONCRETE SCALE PIT AND PLATFORM, WHICH ARE IN ORDER, AND THEY <br />RECOMMEND THAT THE BID OF COLT INDUSTRIES BE ACCEPTED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF COLT INDUSTRIES, <br />FAIRBANKS WEIGHING DIVISION, FOR A CONCRETE SCALE PIT AND PLATFORM, <br />AS BEING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID MEETING SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $13,941.00. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT POINTED OUT THAT WE MUST NOW BE PAR- <br />TICULARLY CAREFUL TO ENFORCE THE DUMPING REGULATIONS. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR AGREED AND SUGGESTED THAT IF THE SHERIFF <br />DOES NOT HAVE AN EXTRA MAN TO ENFORCE THIS, THAT THE BOARD CONSIDER <br />HIRING SOMEONE. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT REQUESTED THAT THE ADMINISTRATOR RE- <br />PORT BACK AT THE NEXT MEETING IN REGARD TO A SPECIAL DEPUTY TO ENFORCE <br />REGULATIONS IN REGARD TO ILLEGAL DUMPING. <br />.JOSEPH MATTHEWS, CDP SYSTEMS MANAGER, CAME BEFORE THE BOARD <br />TO REVIEW HIS PRESENTATION IN REGARD TO EXPANDING THE COMPUTER SYSTEM <br />AND TO ASK FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PLACE A LETTER OF INTENT WITH IBM TO <br />UPGRADE OUR SYSTEM/3 MODEL 10 TO A SYSTEM/3 MODEL 15.
