CHAIRMAN WODTKE REQUESTED THAT MR. MATTHEWS COME UP WITH <br />A SCHEDULE AS TO THE EXISTING PROGRAMS AND WHAT THEIR FUNCTIONS <br />WOULD BE WHEN THEY GO "0 N LINE" AND ALSO FUTURE PROGRAMS SO THE <br />BOARD CAN HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT CAN BE DONE. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY FELT WE WILL HAVE TO RESPOND TO THE WISHES <br />OF THE COMMISSIONERS FOR ADDITIONAL TIME AND THAT WE ALSO NEED TO <br />RESPOND TO THE PROPERTY APPRAISER'S INTEREST, BUT SHE ADVISED THAT <br />WE NOT "DILLY-DALLY" SO LONG THAT WE LOSE ALL OF OUR LEAD TIME AS <br />FAR AS ACTUALLY PLACING AN ORDER THAT CAN BE CANCELED. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE INFORMED MR. MATTHEWS THAT THE BOARD WOULD <br />LIKE TO HOLD OFF ON AUTHORIZING THE LETTER OF INTENT UNTIL MR, <br />MATTHEWS CAN HAVE A PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION WITH THE PROPERTY APPRAISER. <br />HE STATED THAT THIS MATTER WILL BE PUT BACK ON THE AGENDA FOR THE <br />NEXT MEETING. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT LEE NUZIE, DIRECTOR <br />OF CIVIL DEFENSE, WISHES TO ATTEND A CENTRAL FLORIDA AREA CIVIL <br />DEFENSE MEETING IN.WILDWOOD AND HAVE ONE OF HIS VOLUNTEERS ACCOMPANY <br />1� <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER DEESON, TO APPROVE OUT -OF -COUNTY TRAVEL FOR CIVIL DEFENSE <br />DIRECTOR, LEE NUZIE, AND ONE OF HIS VOLUNTEERS TO ATTEND THE CENTRAL <br />FLORIDA AREA CIVIL DEFENSE MEETING IN WILDWOOD ON OCTOBER 26, 1977. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER STATED THAT HE DID NOT FEEL THE <br />BOARD SHOULD PAY FOR THE VOLUNTEER TO ACCOMPANY MR. NUZIE. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT THEY WOULD BE TRAVELING IN THE <br />SAME CAR AND SHARING A ROOM, SO THIS WOULD AMOUNT TO VERY LITTLE. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. COMMISSIONER LOY, <br />SIEBERT, DEESON, AND CHAIRMAN WODTKE VOTED IN FAVOR. COMMISSIONER <br />$CHMUCKER VOTED IN OPPOSITION. THE MOTION CARRIED. <br />ATTORNEY SAMUEL BLOCK APPEARED BEFORE THE BOARD REPRESENT- <br />ING NUMEROUS RETAIL LIQUOR BUSINESSES IN THE COUNTY TO REQUEST A <br />PUBLIC HEARING IN REGARD TO EXTENDING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES <br />IN THE COUNTY ONE ADDITIONAL HOUR.
