AND SUGGESTED THAT THE RATES FOR CATEGORY D -BULKY WASTES, CATEGORY
E - LARGE ANIMALS, AND CATEGORY G - LIQUIDS, BE CHANGED FROM $10.00
PER TON TO $9.00 PER TON (THE SAME AS THE BASIC CHARGE.FOR CATEGORY
A - MIXED REFUSE) IN ORDER TO SIMPLIFY THINGS AND THAT CATEGORY C -
INERT WASTE, FOR WHICH THERE IS NO CHARGE, BE MADE THE SAME AS CATEGORY
B - DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION WASTES OR $6.00 PER TON.
THE BOARD FELT THIS WAS A GOOD RECOMMENDATION, AND ENGINEER
COOLEY AGREED AND FELT IT WOULD GENERATE SUFFICIENT REVENUE. HE SUG-
GESTED THAT IF THESE CATEGORIES ARE CONVERTED, THAT THE WHOLE SCHEDULE
MIGHT BE CONSOLIDATED INTO JUST TWO CATEGORIES.
CHAIRMAN WODTKE FELT THAT WE NEED TO KEEP RECORDS AND -HAVE
A GOOD BREAKDOWN ON THE VARIOUS TYPES OF WASTE RECEIVED.
ENGINEER SEARCY POINTED OUT THAT DETAILED RECORDS WILL BE
KEPT AT THE LANDFILL, BUT HE FELT THE RATE SCHEDULE SHOULD BE KEPT AS
SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE.
ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER
SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY TO PLACE
THE PROPER ADVERTISEMENTS TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULE AND TO
DO ALL THE THINGS NECESSARY TO EXPEDITE THE CHARGES THAT WILL BE
IMPOSED AT THE SANITARY LANDFILL.
THE PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:
5
DEC 71977
