THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, LL <br />FLORIDA, MET IN REGULAR SESSION AT THE. COURTHOUSE, VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1977. AT 8:30 O'CLOCK A.M. PRESENT WERE <br />WILLIAM C. WODTKE, JR., CHAIRMAN; ALMA LEE Loy, VICE CHAIRMAN; WILLARD <br />W. SIEBERT, JR.; AND R. DON DEESON. COMMISSIONER EDWIN S. SCHMUCKER.. <br />WAS ABSENT DUE TO ILLNESS. ALSO PRESENT WERE JACK G. JENNINGS, COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR; L.S. "TOMMY" THOMAS, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR; <br />GEORGE G. COLLINS, JR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; <br />WILLIAM P. .JACKSON, FINANCE OFFICER; AND VIRGINIA HARGREAVES, DEPUTY <br />CLERK. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, AND <br />REVEREND BERT H. SAUNDERS OF THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH GAVE THE IN- <br />VOCATION. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS <br />TO THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF DECEMBER 7, 1977. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy REQUESTED THAT ON PAGE 7, 3RD PARAGRAPH, <br />' <br />"JANUARY" 'JUNE"; E .JUNE THAT ON PAGE Z5 PARAGRAPH � <br />. JANUARY BE CORRECTED TO READ , . , <br />"FESTURESa BE CORRECTED TO READ "FEATURES"; AND THAT ON PAGE 88, PARA- <br />GRAPHS 4.AND 7, "VISISTED" BE CORRECTED TO "VISITED" AND "REPROTED" BE <br />CORRECTED TO "REPORTED." <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON REQUESTED THAT ON PAGE 30, PARAGRAPH 3, <br />"INITS" BE CORRECTED TO "UNITS", AND ON PAGE 94, PARAGRAPH 3 , "COORPERATION" <br />BE CORRECTED TO READ "COOPERATION." <br />THESE CORRECTIONS HAVING BEEN MADE, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, SECONDED BY C014MISSIONER DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF DECEMBER 7, 1977, AS WRITTEN. <br />i <br />THE CHAIRMAN DISCUSSED THE REQUEST OF THE YMCA FOR A $6,000 <br />ADVANCE ON THEIR BUDGET, WHICH IS ITEM 4 ON THE CLERK'S AGENDA. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT THE BOARD APPROVED — 775 FOR THE <br />YMCA BUDGET WITH THE HOPE THAT THE SCHOOL BOARD WOULD HELP WITH THE <br />I 'TRANSPORTATION AND POSSIBLY A GRANT COULD BE OBTAINED TO REDUCE THIS <br />AMOUNT TO AROUND $5,500.
