HE THEN OPENED THE FLOOR FOR NOMINATIONS FOR <br />VICE CHAIRMAN. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY RE—ELECTED COMMISSIONER LOY AS VICE <br />CHAIRMAN. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT TRADITIONALLY THERE ARE TWO <br />OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS OF THIS BOARD — THE COUNTY ATTORNEY AND THE <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR. SHE CONTINUED THAT IPJ PAST YEARS WE HAVE RE— <br />APPOINTED EACH DEPARTMENT HEAD MORE AS A MATTER OF ROUTINE, BUT FOR THE. <br />LAST TWO YEARS THIS BOARD HAS WORKED DILIGENTLY TO RESTRUCTURE OUR <br />COUNTY OPERATION, AND SHE FEELS THAT ALL THE DEPARTMENT HEADS WORKING <br />UNDER THIS BOARD ARE NOW DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY REAPPOINTED GEORGE G. COLLINS, JR., <br />AND HIS FIRM, COLLINS, BROWN, VAN DE VOORDE, EVANS & MANNING, TO <br />FUNCTION AS ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON THE SAME <br />BASIS AS IN THE PAST YEAR, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY REAPPOINTED .JACK G. .JENNINGS AS COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FOR THE ENSUING YEAR, <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED IN REGARD TO APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF <br />ZONING ADJUSTMENT AND WHETHER IT WAS NECESSARY THAT THE APPOINTEES LIVE <br />WITHIN THE DISTRICT THEY SERVE, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT THERE IS NO DISTRICT REQUIREMENT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT,, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED �iiESOLUTION No. 78-2 REAPPOINTING <br />WILLIIAM GRIZZELL, MICHAEL L.
