c GREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT cantered into this 4 day of January , 1978 by the State of Florida Department of Transpo'rtation,-hareinafter called "Department," and the County Commissioners , hereinafter called "County WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 335.04, Florida Statutes, the Department has transferred or is preparing to transfer to the County responsibility for certain roads or portions thereof which were constructed with federal assistance and are on a federal aid system; and WHEREAS, Section 335.04(5), Florida Statutes, requires that the County agree to maintain such roads in accordance with federal standards. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises the parties agree that: the roads or .portions thereof which were constructed with federal assistance and -are on a federal aid system and the county agrees to maintain the roads in accordance with federal standards; the Department shall as soon as practical in accordance with Section 335.04, Florida Statutes, transfer to the County responsibility for she roads or portions thereof which were constructed with federal assistance and are on a federal system, and immediately upon such transfer the'County shall assume responsibility for maintenance of the roads in accordance with federal standards; Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof detail the federal aid systems locations in the County which are approved by the Federal Highway Administration. The Department agrees to advise the County of all federal aid system changes which effect County maintenance responsibilities hereunto agreed.
