IT IS 64 PAGES LONG AND PRINTED ON BOTH SIDES 'OF, THE PAGES, <br />IN DISCUSSION, IT WAS FELT THERE WAS A MINIMUM OF $12.00. <br />COST FOR LABOR AND PRINTING, NOT EVEN INCLUDING THE PAPER. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ESTABLISHED A PRICE OF $12.50 FOR <br />A COPY OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED, THIS PRICE.TO BECOME <br />EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS ANNOUNCED THAT JUST YESTERDAY <br />WE RECEIVED LETTER OF -CREDIT FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRA- <br />TION FOR 40% OF OUR GRANT FOR THE WATER SYSTEM TO GIFFORD AND NOW WILL <br />BE ABLE TO PAY BACK PROMPTLY THE $100,000 JUST BORROWED. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD THE MATTER OF <br />FUNDING SALARIES FOR A COORDINATOR AND ASSISTANT COORDINATOR FOR <br />NORTH COUNTY RECREATION, NOTING THAT SALARIES OF $5,500 FDR THE <br />COORDINATOR AND $7,500 FOR THE ASSISTANT COORDINATOR, INCLUDING ALL <br />FRINGE BENEFITS, WERE APPROVED AT THE LAST MEETING. HE CONTINUED <br />THAT HE HAS NOW BEEN INFORMED THAT THE $7,500 FOR THE ASSISTANT FAILED <br />TO MEET MINIMUM WAGE REQUIREMENTS WHEN THE FRINGE BENEFITS WERE <br />TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. COMMISSIONER DEESON STATED THAT HE WOULD <br />LIKE TO SEE THE BOARD GO AHEAD AND SOLIDIFY THE COORDINATOR'S POSITION <br />AND DISCUSS THE ASSISTANT `S POSITION. <br />PAT FLOOD, MAYOR OF SEBASTIAN, STATED HE UNDERSTOOD THAT ONE <br />OF THE QUESTIONS WAS WHETHER OR NOT THEY COULD JUSTIFY AN ASSISTANT. <br />HE FELT THERE IS A DEFINITE NEED FOR AN ASSISTANT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE <br />TO KEEP THE RECREATION CENTERS IN BOTH FELLSMERE AND SEBASTIAN OPEN, <br />WHICH WOULD RELIEVE SOME OF THE PRESSURE ON THE POLICEMEN BY GETTING <br />THE CHILDREN OFF THE STREETS. HE POINTED OUT THAT THE COORDINATOR <br />CANNOT BE IN FELLSMERE AND SEBASTIAN AT THE SAME TIME,AND EQUIPMENT <br />IS JUST SITTING THERE AND NOT BEING USED BECAUSE BOTH CENTERS CANNOT <br />BE KEPT OPEN. MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT THE "Y" IS DOING A GOOD JOB, <br />BUT THEY WANT TO KEEP THE NORTH COUNTY RECREATION PROGRAM GOING. <br />TERRENCE MARR, DIRECTOR OF THE YMCA, INFORMED THE BOARD <br />THAT WHEN FUNDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FROM CETA FOR THE RECREATION PROGRAM, <br />HE INFORMED MAYOR CRAGG THAT THE "Y" HAD A MANPOWER GLUT AND COULD <br />15 <br />FEB. � � 1978 took 33 PAGE <br />41.5 <br />
