CHAIRMAN WODTKE INSTRUCTED THE ATTORNEY,TO DRAW UP THE NECES- <br />SARY RESOLUTION AND PUT IT ON THE AGENDA OF THE NEXT MEETING, AT WHICH <br />TIME PUBLIC DISCUSSION CAN BE HELD. THE CHAIRMAN REQUESTED THE CHAMBER <br />OF COMMERCE TO NOTIFY ALL ORGANIZATIONS THEY FEEL WOULD LIKE TO BE <br />HEARD ON THIS SUBJECT. <br />MR. NORTON REQUESTED PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD TO BORROW A <br />VOTING MACHINE TO BE USED TO SHOOT A COMMERCIAL FOR THE BASEBALL HALL <br />OF STARS, -OF WHICH TOM LASORDA, MANAGER OF THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS, <br />WILL BE THE SUBJECT. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL <br />m <br />HAS RULED THAT BEFORE VOTING MACHINES MAY BE LENT OUT, IT MUST BE DE- <br />TERMINED THAT IT IS FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS <br />AND THE ADMINISTRATOR TO MAKE A VOTING MACHINE AVAILABLE TO THE CHAMBER <br />OF COMMERCE TO BE USED FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE. <br />DEWEY WALKER, ZONING DIRECTOR, CAME BEFORE THE BOARD IN REGARD <br />TO A SPECIAL EXCEPTION REQUESTED BY ROBERT AND WENDY MCIVER. HE NOTED <br />THAT MR. MCIVER'S PROPERTY IS PART OF A PIECE OF PROPERTY GIVEN BY <br />MR, OSGOWICZ TO HIS RELATIVES FOR THEM TO BUILD HOMES ON, AND IT DOES <br />NOT FRONT ON A PUBLIC ROAD. ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER NOTED THAT THIS <br />PROPERTY WAS RECENTLY REZONED FROM AGRICULTURAL TO R-lE SO THAT HOMES <br />COULD BE BUILT THERE. <br />DISCUSSION ENSUED AS TO WHY THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUBDIVIDED, <br />AND ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER STATED THAT IT IS, BUT BY METES AND BOUNDS <br />DESCRIPTION, WHICH WAS DONE BEFORE ORDINANCE 74-20 WAS ADOPTED, <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS AGREED AND NOTED THAT THIS DOES FALL <br />UNDER THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION CATEGORY, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS ASKED MR. MCIVER IF HE HAD LOOKED INTO THE <br />POSSIBILITIES OF FILING A PLAT ON THE PROPERTY. <br />MR. MCIVER STATED THAT HE HAD, BUT THE VARIOUS PEOPLE INVOLVED <br />DO NOT WANT TO.PROCEED WITH IT AT THIS TIME; ALTHOUGH, THEY PROBABLY <br />WILL AT SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE.
